What's new in rekordshelf
The web app updates on its own. The desktop app downloads updates in the background and asks you to restart.
- v1.4.0Latest
Quick File
Filing records is now search → place → next. Built for the way most of you actually use rekordshelf after a Discogs import: find the record in your hand, drop it in a cubby, move on.
- NewQuick File search on the Collection page: ranked matches across artist, title and label, with each record’s spot (or “Unplaced”) right in the results.
- NewPlace sheet: pick a record and its best cubbies appear as big buttons — “Same as last”, the suggested spot, and your recent cubbies. Filing a stack into one cubby is one tap per record.
- NewUndo on every placement, removal and batch add.
- NewKeyboard: “/” to search, arrows + Enter to pick, Enter to place, 1–4 for quick picks.
- New“Unplaced” filter to work through records that still need a home.
- NewNot in your collection? Look it up on Discogs straight from the search, pick the exact pressing, and place it.
- NewShelf presets (Kallax 4×4, 2×4, 5×5, 2×2, 1×4, crate), +/− steppers and a live preview when adding a shelf.
- NewThis changelog, plus a “What’s new” note after each update.
- ImprovedNothing gets placed by a single stray tap any more — tapping a cubby selects it, and a clear “Place in …” button confirms.
- ImprovedAdding records to a cubby starts with unplaced records, stops at the cubby’s free space, and flags records that will move from another cubby.
- ImprovedBigger touch targets across filters, cubbies and pickers. Remove buttons in a cubby are always visible instead of hover-only.
- ImprovedCubby type (Favorites, Sell, …) is tucked behind a toggle so it can’t be changed by accident.
- ImprovedNotifications now appear at the top so they never cover the button you’re about to press.
- FixedCubby details showed the wrong shelf letter (everything read as shelf “A”).
- FixedLong titles pushed locations and buttons off-screen in pickers on phones.
- Fixed“Get the desktop app” in Settings pointed at the wrong download page.
